Please help

the people came to us looking for a job to do home improvements, we then gave them a job and they gave us a quote for R12 000 and they needed an upfront deposit payment of R 8000 we expected them to have finish the job by now but now they are ignoring our calls and they are not even done let alone to start with the job, and we paid them already.
