Infinity Asset Management

We have had a regrettable experience with Infinity Asset Management in their capacity as the Managing Agent for our complex.

On two separate occasions, the company has ********ly withdrawn funds from our complex's reserve fund account. These discrepancies were identified during a routine audit conducted by the Board of Trustees, and since then, we have encountered significant difficulty obtaining clear communication from Infinity Asset Management regarding the return of the funds.

The first withdrawal, amounting to R62,871, occurred in February 2024. The explanation provided was that an error by Standard Bank resulted in the funds being transferred to a “savings” account.

The second incident took place in February 2025, involving the removal of R55,000. The justification given was that instructions were issued by the trustees of another complex under their management—Columbia Complex—but the transfer was mistakenly processed from our reserve account. Despite repeated attempts to engage with the owner of Infinity Asset Management, we have received only vague assurances and no resolution. Daily follow-ups have been made over the past several weeks, and communication efforts extend over a period of more than a year. A recurring response from the owner has been, “I’m sorry, I will get back to you by the end of the day,” yet no substantive follow-up ever materializes.

In light of our experience, we strongly advise against appointing Infinity Asset Management as a managing agent for any residential complex.
