Rejected claim of damage during Covid state of disaster.

During the earlier stages of Covid-19 we had ceiling damage (more or less R8,000) due to heavy rain. Being elderly people (in our seventies) and in a time when Covid-injections were not yet available we didn't put in a claim, because we wouldn't allow people in our house for a quote or repairs. After the end of the Covid state of disaster and when we had our Covid injections we immediately put in a claim, with an explanation of the obvious reasons for the delay. The claim was flatly denied with citation of the one month rule, even after we again fully explained the situation. We feel ****** and cheated. There was no empathy or understanding of the surreal situation due to the pandemic.
