False representation of product offered.

I have just received a call from infinite debt solutions. Mr Don, as he calls himself said to me that he was sent by the NCR to lower my interest rate on all my monthly payments. Once he is done with his assessment, he will tell me how much I qualify for. He also ensures me that by the time we are done on the call, my credit score will be boosted up by 50%.

That all sounded too good to be true. I asked him over 3 times, is this a debt consolidation or debt review? To which his answer was no. I asked him if any of this will impact my credit score negatively. He answered no. I asked him how my debt be reduced and my score go up without any negative impact on my side. He said to me that currently creditors can garnish my salary because I am behind on monthly payments. He then transferred me to Letitia, his manager.

I explained to her my concerns and asked her again what exactly they were offering me. Then she says it's debt review from the government. It's a special solution from the government and not like the other debt reviews. I told her I'm not interested and she also threatened me about my salary possibly being garnished.

These people are getting people into debt review/debt consolidation under false pretense of some 'government/NCR help'

I sure hope the credit report they pulled on my name.e does not come through as an enquiry?!
