Index-Review.com refuses to release deposited funds.
I thought that I could invest in cryptocurrency in an attempt to make a small profit. I followed a link from Forbes magazine to a site called indexreview.com. I registered on the site and opened an account on 03 May 2021. The minimum investment the site called for was an investment of $250. I deposited the funds into the account.
Soon after transferring the funds, I was called by a trader who with my permission took control of my computer. His name was Eugene Anderson with telephone number (local South Africa) ***. After taking control of my computer he asked me to go to my bank as he wants to show me how I can link the crypto wallet to my bank account so that I could receive funds (profits) into my banking account. Once I logged onto my bank, he said that $250 was a small amount and that I should invest most of what I had in the bank to make a quick profit. He started the withdrawal process from my bank account. I cancelled the transaction as he attempted to get me to invest all of my funds in the account. From this moment on I was sceptical of this trader and decided that I did not want to have anything to do with this company (indexreview.com).
I decided that I need to withdraw my funds from the company. I followed a link to the withdrawal page of the site and clicked on the withdrawal button. The response was that my account first need to be verified and that I would be called by an agent of the company prior to being able to withdraw the funds. On the 05 May my account was verified. I tried to withdraw the funds on this day. I was advised by the site that I need to be called by an agent prior to any funds withdrawal.
Since I have requested a withdrawal, Eugene Anderson has called, however he did not want to process the withdrawal, but attempted me to invest another $250 saying that the company would equal the investment as a bonus. I said that I am not interested and that I want to withdraw the funds. He was not happy with my decision and abruptly ended the call. I have the recording of all the calls with Eugene and is available on request.
On the 10 May 2021 I mailed the company advising that their agent has been ignoring me and that I will write to Hello Peter to complain about this company. The company’s billing department sent me the following response on the same day:
"Dear Mr. Amra, Your agent has been on high priority phone calls last week and during the weekend as well. Your request has been received and sent to your agent. As soon as he will be available he will contact you. We thank you for your patience. Regards, Mary"
I have written to the company on the 17 May 2021 to request that they release my funds with no positive response from them.
I have been left with little option but to lay a complain with Hello Peter.
I hope that complaining on your site would bring this matter to a conclusion.
