Indaba Hotel’s Noise Levels
The noise is getting worse! They play their music at ever increasing decibels with no consideration to the neighbouring homes! After a long day, the last thing I need is the t******* music and loud singing!

13 Nov 2019, 09:41Thank you for your comment - noted that you were not a guest at our establishment, but rather a disgruntled neighbour. Whilst we do endeavour to ensure noise levels are kept at an acceptable level, we are a hospitality establishment thus entertainment is certainly part of our market.
The hotel has existed on this premises for 65+ years (long before homes were built around our 17 hectare property) and we have supported the growing community over this time through charity drives and fundraisers; and offering free venues for HOA Meetings, assistance with general security, upgrading of area through beautifying our gardens, kerbs etc. Our green belt & additional security also adds to property value in this sort after area
We have always tried to ensure that our impact on surrounding homes is minimal; and ensuring that noise levels are maintained within legal noise decibels. We also ensure that noise stops after 23H00 on weekday nights and 00H00 (midnight) over weekends in accordance with City bylaws.
We have, however noted that the roof top bars in the neighbouring office park are not adhering to noise levels and bylaws - unfortunately many people from the surrounding neighbourhood assume that the noise is emanating from the Indaba Hotel, when in fact the noise is from the new office park development.
Kindly advise which estate / suburb you reside in and which date and time you experience the unacceptable noise levels so that we can investigate further
