Worst tech store for after sales

On the 11/03/2024 I took my daughter’s iPad into the Incredible Connection Clearwater store. The iPad had a problem with the front camera. The technician who helped me took the iPad in and did an inspection and handed me the cover back. The iPad was still under warranty which was expiring end March 2024. I left the store with a customer job card . After about two weeks we followed up and were told they would advise us within 21 days. The 21 was expiring on the 9th of April. Then on the 9th of April we received an email for Zain the technician that took the iPad in. He advised that the iPad was out of warranty due to the item being damaged on the corners of the screen, and attached a quotation for the repairs. A quotation which amounts to the value of a new iPad. We disputed this and referred them to the job card which Zain did, which clearly indicated that the iPad was in good condition and the only thing that was cracked is the screen protector. They kept quiet all this time and did not respond to my dispute. I kept visiting the store to find out what was going on and on Sunday, we were told that they will be returning the item and they will not repair it. On Wednesday 22 May , I received a call from Mpho from the store advising that we should come collect the iPad and take the matter up with the ombudsman.

These people are ******, they broke my daughter’s iPad and now they don’t want to take responsibility for it. The iPad was brand new and had no dents nor scratches nor cracks. The same Zain who did the inspection and clearly marked on the job card that there are no cracks now, does not want to take responsibility. If they can get away with such *******ion, why even issue people with a job card which states the condition of the unit, knowing that you will not take responsibility for damages caused by yourselves. Worse the arrogance of saying I must take this up with the ombudsman????!!!! I regret ever spending a cent at incredible connection. We have spent so much on phones , computers and other gadgets for personal and business use. This is how they treat us ????
