Warranty issue Consumer Protection Act Repair delay Poor customer service

Incredible Connection Fourways Holding My Laptop for 3 Months – No Resolution Under Warranty

I purchased a laptop from Incredible Connection Fourways in March 2025. In December 2025 the laptop stopped working while it was still under warranty, and I immediately returned it to the store for repair.

It has now been three months, and my laptop has still not been returned to me.

After repeated follow-ups, I have now been told that the cost to repair the laptop is equal to the value of the laptop. This explanation is unacceptable because the device was still under warranty when it was handed in, which means the responsibility to repair, replace, or refund lies with the supplier.

The most concerning issue is the extreme delay. Three months without a device that is required for both my academic work and my professional responsibilities is unreasonable and highly disruptive.

Under the Consumer Protection Act (Section 56), consumers are entitled to goods that are durable and of good quality. If a product fails within the warranty period, the supplier must repair, replace, or refund the product within a reasonable time. Three months is clearly not a reasonable timeframe.

At this point, I am simply requesting that Incredible Connection return my laptop immediately or provide a replacement in accordance with the warranty obligations.

If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will escalate it further through the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud and the National Consumer Commission, as this situation appears to be in clear breach of the Consumer Protection Act.

I am extremely disappointed with the way this matter has been handled and expect Incredible Connection to resolve it without further delay.
