Very Disgruntled
Good day
I am extremely disgruntled at the level of service I received from your Eastgate store. I purchased a Connex 10" for my son on the 11 July 2020. The device completely stopped connecting to the internet and further just froze and could not reboot or startup or anything. I then returned it to your on Thursday 1 October and explained to the consultant (Sello, his a lovely guy) that this is URGENT due to covid my son has been forced to be schooled online and this was the only method we had. I made a few calls to him On the weekend as well as the Monday (5th October) and he advised the supplier didn't get back to him as yet.
He then advised me to go into your store and speak to the store manager (David) with the hope that he will assist me. I need to inform you that your store manager LACKS basic people skills and is not fit to be a store manager. I have managed Customer Service for 10 years so trust me, I know a thing or two. I asked for his assistance in expediting the credit note as this was my son's online schooling device.
In NO uncertain terms did he state to me " We have a lot of clients in your position who has to wait the 14 days and there is nothing we can do, Also my wife is a teacher and it was your choice to send your kids back to school and now just tell the school the device is in for repair." I am NOT an unreasonable person however, You do NOT treat your clients with such disrespect and disregard. I refuse to accept this level o service from a massive chain like yourselves.
I have purchased many products from your various stores and this is the very first time I have been treat as if my money doesn't matter and that I do not deserve good customer service and i was just shrugged off with a "don't care" attitude.
I would like you to know, I refuse to accept a repaired device, the store can issue me with a credit and I will add money for a different tablet. No device should have these problems after 3 months. The law protects me and I will not accept this level of service from Incredible connection.
The CPA PROTECTS ME AND I REFUSE TO ACCEPT ANY LESS.
If the goods bought from a supplier are defective (not suitable for its usual purpose or for the purpose it was bought, of poor quality and bad working order, or not useable or durable), a consumer has 6 months from the date of delivery to return the goods to the supplier, at the supplier’s risk and expense. At the consumer’s choice, the supplier must fix, replace or refund the goods bought by the consumer. The voetstoots clause no longer applies; this means that a supplier may no longer sell goods “as they are” unless the consumer has been informed of the defects and accepts them.
Kind Regards Nuru Adams
