Valid Online Purchase cancelled and amount blocked on credit card for 7-14 days

I bought a tv online and I was asked for a verification of a valid tv licence. Incredible connection cancelled my order because I submitted my husband's id number. This is a valid tv license but because I did the purchase under my name, my purchase was cancelled. The amount of R11 000 is now blocked for 7-14 days which to me is unacceptable for a valid purchase that was cancelled. It should have been an authorised amount that can be cancelled immediately and not take longer than 2 days.
