Unused Bluetooth Headset

Good Morning, I bought a Bluetooth headset in store. Opened the gift on the 25th, only to realize how big and ugly the Pods are. Went back to the store on the 26th to exchange or even or a voucher. The Sales person behind counter. rolled the unused pods between his fingers inspecting it. Then went to a back office, came back and said that the it cannot be returned for hygienic reasons. There is no sign in the store informing the customers that you cannot return headsets. You would expect that the sales person would also inform the customers accordingly. That is how clothing stores do it with certain garments.
