They continually update and advertise a service they cannot offer

TL;DR: They continually update and advertise a service they cannot offer, their staff are unaware of their services on offer, they are rude and uninterested in assisting clients.

We have all heard the horrible stories about the infamous "Incredible *******ion" (probably why they are changing their name to just "Incredible"), I have had the misfortune of experiencing it first-hand. For the past 3 months I have been desperately trying to get an iPad Pro through their "MTN Tech on contract" option, for which, you have to be in store to acquire.

I do not have a store in my town (Ladysmith) and I have had to make several long trips to the nearest stores: Liberty Mall, PMB and Pavilion, DBN.

Before attempting to go to the store, I called ahead and got all the info I needed, what documents were required, etc. I was told I could apply instore only and the contract would be approved or denied within in an hour. I was happy with this and planned a trip. On my first trip I attempted the Pavilion store which has the rudest, uninterested and most uninformed staff. After waiting 20 minutes to be assisted in an empty store, I was informed their MTN systems were offline and they had no idea when it would be resolved. They offered me no alternatives and could not tell me if the liberty branch would be able to help me, I called the Liberty branch myself from my cellphone to confirm this and I left the store. My second attempt was later that day on my way home I stopped at the Liberty store, the staff assisted me very quickly and were interested in my request, although I did not get what I needed the experience was worlds better. It was then that I found out their MTN systems were offline for 2 months and yet I was led to believe I could come into store and get what I want? The gentleman in store was very helpful and offered to make other arrangements for me, however it was late and they did not have the model I needed in stock. My desperation got the better of me I made a third trip to the Pavilion store seeing that they had the model I required and decided I would take it on one of their other contract offerings even though it would cost me thousands more over the contract term. The staff at the store on this day were oblivious to the fact that you could take “tech on contract” and tried to offer me another product, after making them get a their pamphlet and look at the tech on contract offer I wanted he then just realised that MTN was offline? It has been 3 months and he was oblivious to this? I told him I already know this and I have decided to take it out on another provider, he then noted that the application would take several days and I would need to come back to the store if it was approved by their head office. What happened to one hour approval?

Now I sit without what I desperately need because on multiple wasted occasions I was misled and not given the services I require.
