The worst Service EVER received
I was browsing your offerings and encountered a particularly attractive promotion that I decided to pursue. The item in question was a 16GB DDR4 desktop RAM module, originally priced at R895, with a prominent 50% off sticker.
Upon attempting to purchase, there was a delay of approximately 20 minutes due to an issue with the scanning system. Subsequently, after an additional 30-40 minutes, the manager informed me that the reference price sticker was incorrect and the actual price was R2199.00. However, she graciously offered the item to me for R895.00, which I accepted as it still represented a significant value. I noted that the packaging appeared to have been previously opened and then resealed for display with the promotional sticker.
After completing the purchase, I proceeded to install the module in my son's computer. As a computer technician, I followed standard procedures: powering down the system, disconnecting the AC, clearing the CMOS, and then installing the new RAM module alongside an existing one of identical size and speed. Unfortunately, the computer failed to boot. I then attempted to boot the system with only the newly purchased module, but the issue persisted. Upon removing the new module and reinstalling the original, the computer booted without incident. This leads me to conclude that the newly acquired module is likely defective. I returned to the store with the item and receipt to inquire about an exchange or replacement. The manager informed me that only a refund was possible. I explained that the item was under warranty and, like any other product, should be replaced with an item of similar specifications. She reiterated her offer to process a refund. I clarified that I required a replacement, not a refund. She then communicated to a sales associate in her native language that the item was out of stock. I suggested ordering new stock. She then dismissively placed the RAM module on the counter, making an unintelligible sound, implying I should take the refund if I didn't want it. I requested to speak with a manager, realizing she was the manager, and asked for the head office or customer care contact information. She loudly instructed me to use my phone to find the information myself. My patience began to wane, and other customers noted my calm demeanor. I eventually located the contact number while still in the store and recounted the entire situation to the representative. The representative inquired about the store location, "Incredible Cellular Kathu Village Mall," and the supervisor's name.. I inquired about the name of the sales agent's supervisor, and I was informed that this information could not be disclosed. My subsequent attempts to obtain this information were unsuccessful. When I requested a written record of the supervisor's name, the representative stated, "Sorry Sir, I cannot write and struggle with reading." It became apparent that no further assistance would be provided. I currently possess the defective RAM module, the corresponding sales slip, and a case number for this issue.
