Terrible Service and faulty goods at Incredible Connection
I purchased a brand new HP 15 I5 8250U 4 1TB laptop on the 01/02/2019 at Incredible Connection - Mall of The South for R7999. On the 12/03/2019 the laptop became faulty, a line had appeared horizontally across the screen and never went away, the lcd or pixels seemingly faulty.
I took the laptop into the store on the 15/03/2019 to which I was told by they consultant to bring it back on the Monday and they would need to send it in. I obliged and on the 18/03/2019 I took the laptop back just as the store opened. I was told this procedure would take 14 days but due to the severity that they doubt mine will take any more than 2 days. I use my laptop to earn a living and I am totally unable to work without it and I was unhappy that it needed to be sent in, in the first place. Being a brand new laptop I should just have been given a replacement as the laptop was only just over a month old.
Since then I have been waiting for feedback on my laptop. It’s been well over 14 days, I’ve been into the store twice for feedback which they haven’t been able to give me. I’ve complained to customer service to which they haven’t done as they said they would, no reference was received within 24 hours as they said I would, my matter hasn’t been taken seriously. I’ve told them that I no longer wish to deal with them as their service is terrible from the store right up until the Call Centre or Customer Service Centre. I’m left helpless. All I want is a refund and I will gladly take my hard earned money elsewhere and purchase a laptop from a company that actually knows how to deal with people and actually has fair practices and good customer service. It is now 22 days including weekends and 16 days excluding weekends that I have been without a laptop and unable to earn an income. I cannot go on any further. I need help. I need a resolution. After the initial 14 days are up, I’m now told that the repairs take 21 days. This wasn’t communicated and isn’t on the disclaimer. Something needs to be done. There are no channels to actually get through to with these people.
