'Terrible' Connection

My iphone 5 went in for camera repairs at Incredible Connection in Stellenbosch, I was under the impression that it was still under it's warranty which is why I decided to take it to Incredible Connection. I was told it would take about two weeks to have the phone repaired and sent back to the store.

After two two weeks I'd still heard nothing so I decided to phone and find out where my phone was. I was told they'd find out and get back to me but no one ever phoned me back. After phoning again I was told that it was no longer under warranty and so if they fixed it I would be charged and the quote was R4990 which is more that the phone is worth brand new. So I said no please send it back I don't want it fixed. I was told it would be back in two or three days and I would be contacted when it was back.

Again no one contacted me and a couple of days later I called again and was told it was on its way and would be there in two days. This carried on for six week with every staff member in the technical department promising to follow up and find out where my phone was and call me back. I never once got called back. The only person who actually helped at all was a man called Asher. Eventually after 8 weeks, about 30 phone calls to Incredible Connection, at least 5 store visits and dealing with every single one of the staff member in the Stellenbosch store I got my phone back.

This is is pathetic. At one point I honestly thought I'd never see my phone again. The staff and management all made false promises about phoning me back and finding out where my phone was. No-one once took accountability and it seemed as if they all had a well this is not my problem attitude, the only exception being Asher. I will never buy anything again from an Incredible Connection store after this experience with extremely poor customer service.

After getting my phone back I took it to WeFix who charged me a R200 consultation fee and said all that was wrong was that my camera had come out of place. They had it back to me

in one hour. So I'd love to know what the R4990 was going to be spent on?
