Good day

I am very taken aback by the return policy for Incredible Connection in Rosebank mall. I received a laptop bag for my birthday that I wanted to go exchange for cash since I could not find the one I wanted at their store. My brother bought me this bag from the Incredible connection in East Rand Mall, to my surprise I was told that I needed provide the bank card that had made the purchase for this laptop bag.

I am not sure if this is a process I am not fami**** with, however why was I requested to provide the bank card that made the purchase of the laptop bag when I had the receipt for the purchase? I failed to understand why they needed the bank card. I just need to know if it is necessary for me to provide the bank card (which isn’t mine) that made the purchase when I have a receipt.

The receipt in my opinion is proof of payment.
