slow and it is just a battery issue

our sons laptop is new, purchased in january, batter started being faulty, we took it into the grove to be checked out, they had to send it in, now we cant get a response, and they aid it would be 2 weeks, well now nobody answers the phone when we call and he desperately needs his laptop for school
