- On Wed 26 Nov 2025 at 13:54 I ordered a Xiaomi smartphone through their website as part of a Black Friday promotion and paid instantly by credit card. - I quickly changed my mind and decided I wanted to go for a different model. - At 15:04 on the same day I email them asking if I could change my order. - At 15:09 (5 minutes later), I received a reply from Gopolang telling me, 'Unfortunately we cant change anything on the order once order generated , order will have to be cancelled and reorder later'. - At 15:26 I rep**** saying 'Ok, then please cancel and I'll reorder.' - At 15:44 I received an email say that a 'complaint was logged with the relevant team to revert back with feedback'. - Note: I didn't complain. I just wanted to cancel my order as I changed my mind.

- That night at 21:09 I received an email from Simphiwe Sithebe a 'Customer Service Agent | Tech Division' informing me, 'your order has already been processed, therefore i would like to advise you to receive the unit and exchange at the nearest store, please ensure that the unit is kept sealed. Let me know once you have received it so that i can inform the store to assist you.".

I found this strange as the order hadn't been shipped yet, so why could they not just cancel the order and refund my card. But I decided I'd go along, and once I received the phone, I'd quickly return it to my local branch for a refund.

- Today Wed 03 Dec, 7 days later, I've still not received my order. My emails asking what's going on now just get ignored. - No tracking number, no updates, no communication whatsoever, they just ignore me.

- I tried to cancel the order an hour after I placed it. - But here I am, 7 days later, still no phone to return, thousands of Rands out of pocket and no idea when I'll receive my order.

The service, or lack thereof, I've received from these *********** idiots is nothing short of disgusting.
