Ridiculous refund policy and procedure accompanied by dismissive disinterested staff.

I made a purchase of an item I could not test in-store as I would've had to wait for the display model to charge first. I was unhappy with the item valued at R2200 which I paid in cash. I returned the item the very next day and was told I would have to wait for 7-14 days to have the money returned to my bank account. I said no because I paid cash I want my cash returned!!! Why must I accrue additional fees for withdrawing etc? The manager then tells me that she will try to get the money from the bank the next morning or from the cashiers. So far it has been hours and hours since I returned the goods and I have received nothing. I want my cash back urgently!!!! How is it acceptable for a store to do this? I eventually phoned head office. Only to be transferred from one consultant to the next consultant to the next department all at my expense!!!
