Ps5 Playstation warranty

I bought a Playstation 5 from incredible connection Bloem on the 9th of December 2024. It malfunctioned on the 23rd of January 2025, I took the device to the shop on the 24th of January 2025. The shop quoted me R6000 to repair the damages, but the stated damages are incorrect as the device was never exposed to water or any form of liquid. Please note that the device is also under warranty
