Prompt solution to my problem, and no charge

I bought a new laptop computer last year, but had barely used it until August when I switched to it as my main computer, used throughout the day, every day. Then, one day last week, I switched it on, and the first screen started to appear but then stopped, and it wouldn’t go any further. So I couldn’t do anything. I didn’t know what the problem was: hardware? Software? Nothing like this had ever happened before, and I’ve been using PCs (desktops and laptops) for many years.

I then took it in to Incredible Connection, expecting a potentially expensive repair. Instead, and much to my pleasant surprise, they just pressed the on/off button, holding it down for several seconds, after which the computer worked as normal. I think they called it a “hard shutdown” or something like that. And they didn’t charge me anything.

I was most impressed - both by their detective work and technical knowledge in so quickly determining the cause of the problem - and their honesty, as they could have just taken in the computer, kept it for a few days, and then charged a lot for the “repair”.
