Paid R16999 for a faulty laptop that they refuse to replace
14Jun2024 I bought laptop, barely used it and it had problems within about 6 months of purchase. It was overheating and blacking out. I put it aside. It still had the same issue up until on 3 March 2025 I took the device to the shop to tell them the issue. They took it for repairs, and I received it after 2 weeks. I used it for about a month then the same issue again. On 3 May 2025, I send it back to the shop and I explicitly tell the manager that I do not want the device anymore because it will be out of warrantee soon and I will be stuck with a faulty product. He insisted that they will send it to the supplier for assessment first and let me know. On 3 Jun2025 I collected the same laptop just to give it another chance even though I was not happy but I needed the device as my business was getting affected by all this. Again same issue, on 31 July 2025 I sent it back telling them I do not want the device anymore. They can give me another device, as long as it's not this one. Again the Manager, Matthew, tells me same story that it will go for repairs etc. I still maintained I do not want the device. After that there was barely any communication for about 2 weeks until I called Matthew to follow up. He said he will talk to his manager. On 28Aug2025 he called me, and he told me that they refused to replace the unit because it is out of warrantee. From the onset I was sold a faulty device which I kept returning to them whilst under warrantee and they keep giving it back with the issue. So I paid R16999.00 for a product that I could not even fully utilize?
