Online Credit Application is **** BAIT

After querying in a few stores, in store stock of graphics cards was found to be limited. I navigated to the online store and found good online only deals. On each product page, one is presented with an estimated installment amount for the product if taken on credit over 24 months, and a convenient button to apply for credit online.

Once the user completes the credit application, they are provided a reference number and referred to their favorite store to complete the credit application using the given reference number, with instructions to take in the needed KYC documents.

After this, is where things go sideways. I went to two separate stores and both were not able to use the reference number provided to continue my already mostly filled in application. Even after I called customer care to confirm if this reference number process is valid. Instead they tried to pressure me to purchase something in store and apply for in store credit. But the product I needed is an online only product.

After calling the customer care line as mentioned, who insisted I should be able to use the reference number in store, to waiting hours in store for them to call and confirm, only to be told that I should instead apply for Mobicred if I want credit for online, I have resolved that this button is **** BAIT. Its only intention is to try get the person to go to a physical store to be conned into buying something from their available stock, forcing one to take an inferior product if the need is urgent.

Stores where I attempted to complete my online application but was instead forced to apply for revolving credit or purchase in store items are: Westgate Incredible Connection Clearwater Incredible Connection
