NA-HP 90W SMART AC ADAPTER- PAVILION/AMANZIMTOTI

I purchased the above charger at the Pavilion branch. I asked the salesperson if he was sure it would work on my model and he said it indicated so on the box. When I plugged it into my computer it wasn't working. I noticed that the cable which fitted into an adapter which came with the charger did not fit snugly so I pushed it in further, it still did not work. I took it back to the Amanzimtoti branch. The assistant checked it over and then noted that the tiny hole where the connection fits into the adapter had been damaged. I explained that I had to give it a small push to make connection with the laptop and he said I had damaged it. When I asked him if it could possibly be a factory defect because I didnt force it he said we wouldn't know because the salesperson at the Pavilion should have checked it before I left the shop as they do. I had to purchase another adapter as he said HP would see this as damage and he cannot exchange it. If this is the case I am of the opinion that Incredible in the Pavilion did not follow due process in the first place to test this unit to check that it was in working order before I left to the shop. 2 chargers purchased in one day R1600.00
