Little wonder why the nickname "Incredible *******ion" continues to haunt this brand... Destroying your clients property and not taking responsibility for your actions is inexcusable.

Little wonder why the nickname "Incredible *******ion" continues to haunt this brand... Destroying your clients property and not taking responsibility for your actions is inexcusable.

This is my sworn afferdavit:

Saturday 10th November 09.30:

Laptop dropped off at Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront because of a fan noise when starting up. Technician says it's an easy fix and likely a dust build up.

Saturday 13.30:

Technician confirms over the phone the laptop is all fixed and in working order, fan noise resolved now that "lots of dust cleaned" and needs a moment to reassemble. Come collect later.

Saturday 15:30:

Return to Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront and technician says he's "made a mistake while closing the cover"... "may have" touched a "*****driver on a circuit while the laptop was on" causing "a current from the battery" which has "likely short-circuited the motherboard "... The laptop won't turn on.

WOW!

The technician goes on to apologize profusely and assure me that he "will do what it takes" to remedy this situation and will get his manager's permission to take Monday off to source a spare part and correct "his mistake" and that it may also take a few weeks. (Samsung discontinued its laptop range).

When I then ask the manager of Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront about a backup unit for the inconvenience caused, my request is flatly turned down and I'm assured that will try fix my laptop.

Monday 12th November 15.00

The same technician from Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront calls to say they need my charger cable to fix the laptop. Ironic, given the stores name.

Monday 17:30

I drop off the charger cable at Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront, meet the head technician who knows me well enough and I explain the storey behind this issue.

He says he has heard a completely different version when the technical called him (in a panic right in front of me on Saturday afternoon) and so it turns out that the manager has also not heard the full storey as the technician "who made a mistake" has clearly not owned up to this, done an about turn and is now clearly not assuming any responsibility!

The head technician confirms that the prior correspondence with the technician "who made a mistake" (a conversation I witnessed my self on Saturday afternoon) "did not add up" and he and the store Manger of Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront assured me there will be a "disciplinary enquiry" the next day and they will get to the bottom of the matter.

The store manager says he will send the laptop to an "independent technical" for a separate evaluation... Mmmmn!

Friday 16th November 15:30

Email from the manger of Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront reads:

"We have determined from a detailed supplier assessment that the laptop’s motherboard more likely failed due to a faulty graphics card based on the symptoms when you booked it in: the fan was making an extra noise due to it spinning faster to cool off the mother board due to the overheating"

A VERY ODD assessment as the fan SOUND begins when the laptop has been turned on, and the device has most certainly not have a chance to even warm up. Notwithstanding there was never an issue with the graphics card before and the sole reason for it being checked in was for the fan noise compromising my viewing pleasure.

And lastly, surely the technician would have noticed immediately when starting to work on the device that there was an issue with the graphics card... Otherwise why call me to collect a device which has been cleaned and is now in working order by just needs to be assembled???

So in conclusion, someone employed by or as a service provider to Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront is clearly talking nonsense and lying to cover up the fact that they destroyed my laptop and can't replace the parts as Samsung is no longer in production, and then have the ordacity to invite me back to Incredible *******ion V&A Waterfront to "Please come by the store and we will be pleased to help you" as they " carry a large stock of laptops, which we offer at reasonable prices".

Will some on at Incredible *******ion head office please contact me to discuss the replacement of my device.

Sincerely disappointed Andrew.
