JBL speaker broken after 4 months of normal use

My JBL Flip 3 portable speaker would have been great if the pins in the mini USB charge input hadn't broken after 4 months of normal use. After keeping the speaker for over a month to assess the problem, the distributor Connoisseur Electronics, refused to replace it, citing user damage. I'm an adult with no kids or children. I plugged it in at regular intervals to charge the speaker and one day it stopped taking the charge. This product is faulty, and a waste of money. It was not a fair purchase and I'm disappointed with the response of the retailers and the distributor.
