Incredible deception

If you have tried to get an iPhone pro recently, you know how hard it is to find...worse off in a small town. So I eventually found one at incredible connection in Pietermaritzburg.

Fast forward a week later, phone goes blank. plug it in, goes into recovery mode. updates and recovery do not work.

So I obviously go back to the store the next morning. speak to a technician who says they can replace it as it is within 7 days. I leave my phone and get told they will call when they can source a replacement. I was very particular about the colour I wanted.

I go back the next day to enquire. Im in store for over 45min. They are making calls to see if they can find a replacement. I ask what their policy is as I can see they can not source my phone. Th sales guy kept refusing to let me see it, he just kept telling me he will try source the phone. I wanted to know what happens if they can't.

So after waiting over 45min, he then says that they actully made a mistake. They had miscalculated the 7 days and I had actually brought the phone back on day 8. Suddenly they simply couldn't help me anymore. Their story changes.

So I ask what would have happened yesterday if I had accepted the device they were offering to give me... they said that I would have gotten a new phone and afterwards they would have seen the error.

They then say that the device I gave them yesterday will go for repairs instead, which takes 7-21 days. I then ask for my phone back. They no longer have it. I made a decision from the info they gave me. I would have rather taken it to store or dealt with insurance than have to wait 21 days. I would have taken it back the day before, but stores were obviously closed when it happened. This is how I missed the 7 day mark. They made a mistake. But suddenly its my problem and they tell me their hands are tied. I for one will never buy a apple device from anywhere besides the store or apple.
