Incredible Connection: We sell the goods BUT don't ask for after-sales-service!
About a year ago (can't find the invoice) my wife bought a Canon colour printer on promotion at Blue Route Inc Con. It was refilled for the first time about 6 weeks ago. the paper feed stopped operating about three weeks later and it gave a “to take to workshop” message. I took it in but because I couldn't prove it was a warranty claim, they sent it to a “private” workshop in Cape Town. They obviously couldn't find a problem so simply quoted to replace virtually every moving part in the machine. Cost almost as much as was paid for the printer when new. When I queried this, I was told it's probably done too many copies - after one refill? My wife uses it for her personal stuff. I requested my machine back but now it appears that it's at a workshop in Gauteng! Been waiting 10 days for the return. Spoke to the manager, she delegated to the technician but neither followed through. The manager gave me her business card, tried to phone her but g=had the wrong number on it - when queried, she doesn't give customers her mobile number! Hello? Why's the wrong number on the card? Name is correct bits she didn't print the cards (and obviously didn't check hers either)! I have a feeling that the local technician gave the go-ahed to the repairers and now they are trying to re-instate to the condition they received it in ... everybody is lying to me.
