Incredible Connection - Dishonesty and Horrors in Potchefstroom

Every parents dread the call when your child who is a student at university phones you and say dad I have a very important project and her printer decided to expire. So you do what any good father do find a computer business in the same town with a online presence and buy her a good printer that she just can go pick up. So I was glad when I found I can do this with Incredible Connection.

I went through the whole cycle of selecting, ordering and paying for a printer. When I received the proof of sale and pickup notification I phoned the branch and arrange with the Potchefstroom branch manager herself. This same branch manager verify to me that according to her records everything is in order, they do have stock and that my child can come pickup the printer. She promised me there will be no issues as everything is in order according to their system. I was very glad but just in case I still forwarded my child the pickup notification so that she can prove the sale just in case.

So to my horror my child phones me, after traveling all the way across town, that they refuse to provide the item, not even trying to sort it out for her. Now this same branch manager claims my daughter have no right to take the item as they have not received payment. Furious I phone the branch, at first the branch manager refuses to speak to me. When she eventually do speak, in a very irritated disrespectful tone, she blames the internet sales department for not authorizing the payment and until they do she will not release the printer, she told me that I should phone the online sales and sort it out myself.

I then phone their online sales department, who was stunned at this. According to online sales department the sale was completed long before, the branch was notified and it is clear that there is no reason to refuse the pickup. The online sales department then promised to sort it out and phone me back. They then phoned the branch and after speaking with them informed me this same branch manager was very rude to them and if I have any issues with her when picking up the item, I have to lay an official complaint against her.

I just went WOW.

How can you run a business when you lie to your customers. Refuse to deliver the products even when provided with the proof of sale. Then be rude to co-workers and superiors?

How can I ever buy from this company again? Anybody who refuse to deliver on their promises and go back on their arrangements are people that can not be trusted with anything.

I am truly shocked.
