Goodbye Incredible connection/Lenovo
In November 2014 I bought two Lenovo A 5500 8 inch tablets. In December 2015 the screen on one of them became unresponsive. Incredible connection advised that, for a nonrefundable fee of R 400 they will send it off to a place called Partserve who will assess the problem. This, we are told, will take about six weeks.

This was not acceptable so I took them to partserve myself.

The prognosis? Screen is faulty and it is uneconomical to repair.

So I now have R 2600 colourful ( red) door stop. Potentially two if the same happens to the other.

No independent service centre will touch Lenovo because, they say, parts are too expensive.

Quite by chance I was at a china mall having a screen protector fitted to a phone and he offered to fix the tablet.

Four days and R 700 later I have a fully functional tablet.

Guess what brands have been wiped off my list???
