False Adverti*****t and Violation of Consumer Protection Act

I ordered and paid several items on the 18th of March 2020 and I was called around close of business the next day (19th) and the consultant claimed that they could not honour the sale agreement and asked for banking details to refund me.

I did not provide details at the time and asked for them to call me back in a few minutes which they did not.

I later checked their website and the items that I had purchased were still listed and available but for a higher price.

To the best of my knowledge and research, this is a direct violation of the consumer protection act and summarised in a short quote from csgo.org.za:

"A claimant who has lost a bargain in respect of which he has an unlimited supply is entitled to the full loss of profits on the bargain. The situation is different when the supplies are limited."

The supplier in this case is simply looking to make a better profit and has no intention of honouring the sales agreement for goods that they can clearly provide. They do in fact have a stock management system that does verify whether they have stock of an item and the fact that the items are still listed proves that they should still have stock available.

It is my right as a consumer to receive the goods that I purchased at the price they were listed.

Reviewer Update
Update: 1 out of the 4 items was shipped and received. All the rest of the items are the same price and category and have not been received yet. No response at all from the company and I expect to not receive my money back nor my items. Perfect timing from their end to mass **** a lot of their customers.
