False advertising, poor after sales service, disappointing attitude...

<p>I bought a Canon Maxify 2340 printer from Incredible Connection a while ago. I'm don't print very often so told the salesman that my 2 requirements were a scanning feeder as well as that the printer had to be able to print in black even in the case of the coloured ink being dry (as some printers will allow you to do so and some not and I basically only print in black). Just after I bought the printer I experienced problems with it after which they sent it away for repairs which took something like 3 weeks, after which I received it back without empty ink cartridges due to "all of the testing" that was done on it. This was obviously Canon's decision to send it back empty but as Incredible Connection at that stage didn't want to provide me with the Canon rep's details I asked them to then please take it up with the rep (even though I was willing to do so but "not allowed to" according to Incredible Connection - so I wasn't "allowed" and they weren't "able" to do so either as I didn't hear anything back from them even after following up on it afterwards. As I needed to print urgently I then went back there and bought a black cartridge for R500 - only to then find out that this specific printer only allows you to print in black in case you also have filled coloured ink cartridges?! I then logged a query in this regard via the call centre, and after having not heard back from them after a week (even though they promised to get back to me "within 24-48 hours") I went back to the Eikestad Mall branch with the hope that they will do something about it. The manager then said that he couldn't get hold of the right people and that he would get back to me the next day, which also never happened - so I went back there again but this time he wasn't in the store (nor was any other manager)... and now I'm still waiting... an INCREDIBLY regretful experience to deal with a company that clearly couldn't care less about their clients!</p>
