False Advertising and Empty Promises from Incredible Connection

I am beyond frustrated with Incredible Connection and their so-called partnership with Telkom. For months, I’ve been trying to take out advertised Telkom deals through their stores — first for a PS5, and now for a PC under the Telkom R5 Sentinel Package.

Every time, I get the same excuses: “The system is offline,” “The person who handles Telkom is on leave,” “Come back next month.” This has been going on for ages, and yet they still have the posters and adverts up in-store showing these exact deals.

If you’re going to advertise Telkom contracts and show specific packages, you should honour them. Otherwise, it’s false advertising — plain and simple. The Consumer Protection Act makes it clear that businesses can’t mislead customers like this, yet Incredible Connection continues to do so.

To make things worse, a family member even tried applying under her name for the PC package, and they still refused. How many excuses can one store give before someone holds them accountable?

Incredible Connection, either honour your advertised Telkom deals or stop misleading people with false promotions. I’ve already filed a complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), and I’ll keep pushing until this is resolved.

Absolutely disappointed and done with your store’s empty promises and poor service.
