EA Games Product Codes

We bought a Christmas Gift for my daughter on the 24th of December. When I wanted to install the games, on Origin it says that the Product Key has already been used. The problem is that Incredible Connection removes the discs to prevent theft which I understand. But this also opens the opportunity that anyone can get the product key inside the case. Unfortunately I don't have have the slip to change the game. But this is the second time this has happened to me. Please take note of this, And I now have R600 laying around with no use.
