Dubious contracts

I tried to buy a cellphone contract, the phone is R9,499.00 cash and comes with a R5,000.00 voucher. Did the application and was told to wait for the outcome. A lady by the name Innocentia calls and tells me my application has been approved, with conditions. They are I must pay a total of R14,700.00 upfront. When I do the math, the phone and the voucher combined... Amount to this figure. My problem is I wanted to buy the contract that was on offer, either I was being made a fool of or the company was being pregurdice against me. I'm not happy at all.
