Cracked HP laptop

I bought the laptop (HP) on January 2024. I use the laptop for my studies, nothing else. I had an examination few days ago, after opening the laptop I realised that it was cracked bottom left corner from opening it, how else should I use it if I don't open it. We went to report it at Incredible Connection (Goldfields Mall) where we bought it and we were turned away at the door that nothing could be done. They didn’t even ask to see it. Wrote them an email a month ago and we haven't even received an automated email.
