Brits Branch Lying with comfort
Cant describe the web of lies concocted by the technical staff of the Brits branch.
Handed in brand new laptop bought 1 month prior (R8990), told them it was struck with lightning and that i assume it will not be covered but need a report for insurance. This was on the 2nd of April, paid R450 to be sent in for a quote and report. Took them more than a week to tell me repair cost R 11 500 on the 9th of April. On the 9th of April told them please return laptop in order to claim from insurance. No problem according to them it will take 3 days to return laptop, i asked Thabang can i collect on Friday and he confirmed yes.
Friday no luck, phoned on Monday and was told he is waiting for the couriers and he will follow up. I phoned again on Tuesday and he said it was dispatched and the couriers have not delivered yet but he will follow up and will phone me back.
I phoned again on Wednesday again at about 11:30, Thabang said he escalated it to Head office and will phone me by lunch time.
Sifiso phoned at about 15:00 and said he is just giving me update on my laptop (as if no prior communication happened) , it is being returned by the the service company and that it is in the process of being returned. (exactly same text read from what i was told the previous time on the 9th of April), only now it is the 17th of April. So when i told Sifiso he is telling lies he said i must have misunderstood Thabang, Ok 3 days in English is still 3 days. Now being told because of public holidays i can expect it back round about the 25th of April.
So courier from Johannesburg to Brits (less than 100km's) takes 16 days and i should just accept it as a process.
So please don't send in your pc or any device for a quote if you want it to returned unrepaired within a month.
