Beware the Kindle warranty trap!

Bought my wife a Kindle from Incredible Connection last Xmas. Signed her up for Kindle Unlimited on Amazon. What a frikken nightmare to date! I will try and give you the short version BUT this is a warning to all potential purchasers These are the facts: 1. There is NO local technical support 2. The staff at IC know NOTHING about the product 3. The so-called warranty is absolutely useless. It is a "USA based warranty" I was informed! ***?? How am I supposed to deal remotely with the USA for a technical issue? Which is exactly the problem that I have at the moment....the Kindle won't switch on. 4. We have been to IC at Canal Walk, as well as Cavendish....both technical support staff had zero clue about Kindle. Finally, had they merely told me upfront that this product had a USA based warranty, I would NEVER have bought it! What sane person would?? Oh, one more thing.... my wife has been paying R230 pm for the last 10 months for Kindle Unlimited from Amazon...number of books received? ZERO! Trying to sort that out remotely but have basically given up
