CORIANDER CONTAMINATED KALAMATA OLIVES

Having sent an email to said company via their website and had no response or apology. There are those unavoidable times when one has to turn to HP.

I begin by referring to two groups of people in the fresh coriander council; Those who love coriander, as they are free to do, and then there are those that truly DESPISE the taste which overwhelms any meal and the aftertaste lasts beyond what is tolerable. I know someone who likens the taste to “chewing on a stink bug”. I think I have made a clear case for the anti-fresh coriander folk as well as a convincing argument of being in the latter council of fresh coriander loathers. I avoid any cuisine that uses this ingredient as its base. I have been eating Mount Cedar Kalamata olives, for years now. A South African product from “In Our Greenhouse” in Paarl. I have always found them to be the best of… having experimented with most brands (talking decades here) I use olives as a staple in my diet which means that I am never without a copious stock of them To my absolute horror and utter despair!!! My recent purchase, every single olive in the 780gm (450 drained) bottle is contaminated with the taste of fresh coriander. *fume* I use the word contaminated because the reason government regulations have been put in place to stipulate ingredients on most produce due to people who suffer from food allergies and frankly when one buys a product, especially one that one keeps on a regular basis thereby knowing what to expect. AKA “Trust” Aside from which, when one purchases an apple one expects it to taste like and apple, not a frog. Right!
