Imperial does not honour advertised price

<p>I came across a Gumtree add Friday evening (11/11/2016). The add was published by Imperial Toyota Randburg. The add was for a 2015 Toyota RAV CVT, with 20 000km, with the advertised price being R234900.00 I went through to the branch the following morning (12/11/2016) to purchase the vehicle. A friendly salesman approched me (Lucas) and said he will fetch the key and I can look at the car so long. I walked around the car, very happy, but rather confused when I saw the price in the window being R299 900. When Lucas arrived, I asked him about the price and showed him the Gumtree add. He said the price in the Gumtree add is wrong. I then asked him to speak with the manager, and he said he is not in today. Eventually I got the "manager's" (Shameem Kadir) cell number and I phoned him whilst I was at the branch. I explained the matter. He said the price is a mistake. I asked him what now, and he said "boet I am not going honour that price). Firstly, how does a manager of a company refer to a client as "boet"?! Secondly, how does a company advertise a product, and refuse to sell it at the advertised price? I noticed this morning that the price in the gumtree add changed to R299 900.00. Luckily, a have a couple of print screens with both adds. </p> <p> </p>
