De*****ed by the dealer.
In May this year I saw a Mazda 2 1.5 Dynamic on cars.co.za which was advertised by Toyota imperial Park town. I then enquired if the vehicle was still available and was contacted by one the sales person who confirmed that it was.
We made an appointment with the guy to have the car brought to me to view the on the day and he did honour the appointment, I liked the car so much. I confirmed with Thabo if the car had ever been involved in an accident before and he confirmed that no it hadn't. I asked for a dakkar or AA report and I was told that I wud have to do it myself at my own cost. At this point I was desparate and really needed a car so I took Thabo's words that the car had never been involved in accident before.
I then proceeded with the finance application and everything was approved and the next day I collected the car. One the day when I collected the car, I got there and signed all the documents and when I was ready to take my car and go only then was I informed that the car didn't have a spare key as the owner had lost the key and when I asked if they were going to make one for me I was told no I need to do one myself and this point I asked to speak to the manager to discuss this and the manager came and confirmed that they were going to pay for the key...
It concerned me the fact that the car millage was this low (4800k) so I asked what was the story with the car and I was told at the time which this car was bought the owner couldn't afford a Toyota fortunare, a year later the owners finances changed and could now afford one so he traded this in.
I had difficulties for a week getting Toyota imperial Park town to sort out the issue with the spare key which eventually leaded me to load a complaint and eventually it was sorted, at this point I had picked up that the reverse light were not working and brought to Thier attention, they picked up the car twice to get the issue sorted and to this date they still not working.
Yesterday the 17th of August, I took the car in for 15k service at Mazda and when I picked up the car the reverse lights were not sorted as I had to pay for this to be sorted. The quote came up to R3k, I spoke to a technician there who confirmed to me that car had been involved in accident, this was picked up during the service. The team from Mazda assisted me showing the were the car was fixed and getting hold of the previous owner who confirmed that yes the car was involved in an accident and was then written off. The owner never bought a fortuna and she still has the spare keys to the car and if I want them we shud make arrangements to meet and get the keys. At this point I was shutted bacause now I know that I have been de*****ed and I was sold a car that was not only involved in accident but was actually written off... I no longer want this car as this is not what I signed up for, I just want Toyota imperial Park town to make contact with me as they are now ignoring my emails and my call to come fetch Thier car and settle my bank so that I can go and buy myself a proper car.
They took a risk with my life,my family and every one around me.
