Defective Fortuner
I purchased a new Toyota Fortuner at imperial Toyota Kempton Park in December 2014.
It was discovered that the vehicle had a severe vibration when traveling under loaded conditions(within limits).
Toyota attempted to locate the fault by trial and error, this resulted in the prop shaft and carrier bearing being changed.
This did not resolve the issue, and was referred to Toyota SA.
They tested the vehicle and admitted there was a problem, then returned it, then took it back for tests, and returned it.
In all that time there was no communication on what the problem, tests, or repairs were effected on the vehicle.
I was then told the vehicle was now to standard as they adjusted it.
The problem still persists according to my knowledge.
Why do I have to pay for a brand new vehicle and accept a product that is repaired to standard( which it's not)?
Toyota hasn't made any attempt to ensure that their customer was satisfied to a reasonable level and asks that I just accept the product, or if unhappy contact the Ombudsman.
They have made a point of telling me there will be no compensation for any inconvenience in anyway.
There are other Fortuners with the same fault after I reported it.
