Imperial Renault - Terrible service

I bought by Captur as a Demo model in August 2016 from the Blouberg Imperial Branch and since then the service I've received from Imperial Cars (Renault South Africa) have been atrocious.

First I bought the car with 1900 km when I collected the car it had 3200 km on the clock. Then I had to find out the wipers were finished and the back tyre already had 2 punctures fixed. Therefore borderline unsafe to drive with as I had to have 1 replaced. The salesteam there were so unhelpful. At this stage I started to regret ever signing for a Renault

Then I took the car in for a service at Paarden Island Service Centre only to be treated like dirt by the staff of Imperial Paarden-Island. The staff are unfriendly and super inefficient. The one lady is hopping around not doing much work, taking paper slips from people and placing it on a heap. No system in place to ensure first come first served, no smile, no politeness. When I asked about the shuttle service she actually turned her back on me and walked away mid-sentence!

It took them 45 mins to check the car in after I made an telephonic appointment and they had all the information at hand. Furthermore my service book was stamped and handed back to me after this. No regard for what will be seen during the service. When I mentioned that my reverse hooter and petrol gauge is malfunctioning (this car has less than 15 000km on the clock) I was told that they won’t have time to look at it and I will have to book my car in for another service.

And although I asked for a shuttle service when I phoned to book the car in, they said I had to wait for 45 min on top of the time spent there already. I booked an Uber service and offered other going in my direction.

When in the Uber we started to chat. She had an even worse experience than me on her second visit to the service centre.

5 minutes in the office and I received a call that they can repair two (invisible) chips on my windscreen at an additional cost! SO they have time for that but not time to check the reverse hooter and fuel gauge that is under warrantee? And I know that my brake pads need some attention. Up to now, now call from them as it is covered by the maintenance plan!

I am totally un happy with the service I received. And to top it off I now regret ever buying a Renault and will try and sell it as soon as possible because of the service we receive from Renault South Africa.
