False advertising?????

To make a long story short, I have been in contact with 3 Ford branches during the month of July regarding the sale on the Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost, which was advertise on all or most Ford dealers website. To my disappointment no branch had vehicles available to sell at the advertised sale price.

To to put the cherry on the cake, Today, 5 August 2016 @ approximately 15:30 I made an online enquiry on the cars.co.za. I came across the following deal....copied and paste from the website
Ford Fiesta ambiente 1.0 Ecoboost Powershift
2016
20 Km
Automatic
Petrol
Imperial Ford and Mazda Culemborg New Cars (Cape Town, Western Cape)

A sales consultant contacted me regarding the online enquiry and to my dismay I was told that her manager cannot honor this deal due to the fact that the price is below the actual cost price.

why was this deal advertise in the first place if they had no intention in selling this car as per the price in the ad.

this seems to be a trend in that they advertise deals but unable to honor it.

Is this their strategy to get customers to contact them and sell something else at a higher cost!
