Imperial Car Sales (George)

We live in Strand. We buy a second hand Kuga in May 2017 at Imperial George - it was a cash sale. We fly to George to pick up the Kuga. Everything is fine. We come to Strand - 4 hours from George. No spare wheel key in the Kuga. This was a battle but eventually we did get that out of Imperial.

The Kuga do have a tow-bar. We don't have a trailer - so we did not use the tow-bar. Beginning of December we hire a trailer and when we plug the trailer into the Kuga - - - the lights does not work. We went to Ford Somerset West. They don't have time to book in the car and we almost on our way within 2 days. Ford Somerset West send me to a contractor - who they use - to check the tow-bar. They test the tow-bar and have to replace the tow-bar Module 14.416.00.S 4,416.00 with codeing via Ford and labour for a astronomic amount of R6 112.00.

We went to Pretoria on holiday. We did come back and I send a letter to Imperial George. I did speak to the Salesman (per email) and also to the Pre-owned Sales Manger (by email). The Manager ask my WHY did I not come back to them - My goodness - I'm in Strand. And if you buy a car and cash - - - you believe that everything was checked by the dealer that it is in a working condition.

His answer - sorry we will pay half the price and they did pay half the price back to me - yes. But I definitely did not buy a car to pay half of something that is suppose to work?

Bad bad bad dealer - will not go to Imperial Car sales ever ever never again.
