immaculate cleaning services group

I sent my Chobi Persian Carpet Runner in to be cleaned on the 4 August 2023. This was picked up by their driver when he returned other cleaned curtains and carpets.

I was emailed an invoice for the cost of cleaning the carpet on 7 August 2023 which I never signed.

On the 17 August I was called by JoAnn Capazoria to say that they'd had a ******* and unfortunately my carpet was ******.

I called the office and spoke to Nicholas who is the supervisor on the carpets side and was told that the ******* occurred on the 7 August and mine was one of two carpets ****** along with a battery!

The owner, JoAnn then said I'd signed the terms and conditions on the invoice which said I should've taken out private insurance. I cannot find out where it says that per se. Rather it says "The company is not responsible for the ******** activities of third parties"

The thing is I never ever signed for this on the invoice. What I did sign for was the delivery note when the Driver delivered my previously cleaned curtains and carpets! Further as the Driver did not have an invoice or any document to say he's received the Chobi carpet to take back for cleaning I wrote on the delivery note to say he'd taken it back to the company. I have a copy of that delivery note.

Now to be fair, I met with JoAnn at my house in an effort to resolve this problem. She arrived with two replacement runners and offered to pay 50% of the cost of a carpet. Unfortunately, those carpets weren't to my liking and whilst she was pressurising me to accept one of them I sent a Whatsapp proposing that she pay me out the 50% and I would endeavour to find my own carpet.

This she agreed to and asked me to send my banking details through as soon as possible which I did on Tuesday 31 August. Since then I've been given the run around with no funds forthcoming even though on Friday I again WhatsApp'd her to resolve the matter.

I'm now at my wits'end and hence the post to warn others.
