Unprofessional

I enrolled with IMM at the beginning of July for a CGISA qualification, I paid the fees in full. Classes were supposed to commence 1 August 2020, on 28 July I got an email from Erens who advised that the college will not be offering classes this semester. The semester which was supposed to begin in 3 days. I paid fees in full on 17 July 2022, up to date I have not received back my refund. I completed all the necessary documentation but IMM will not refund the fees I paid. I am now supposed to start classes at another institute, however as IMM does not want to refund the fees I paid, I cannot commence with classes that commenced a month ago at the new institute. The semester is short, exams commence in October when will I start preparing for exams when IMM are denying me my right to education. I urge people not to ever enrol with this institute. IMM has proven to be unprofessional!

We thank you for your review and understand your frustration. As you work for a large organisation, you will understand that there are processes and procedures to be followed.

It is highlighted on our course schedules, and you were advised during your consultation prior to registration, that a minimum of 5 students are required to register before classes may commence.

When you were advised that your classes would not proceed, you requested that the refund be made to a third party. We requested that your company, which paid for your studies, provide us with a letter stating that the funds may be paid to a 3rd party. This is standard practice amongst all large organisations. This instruction to pay the 3rd party was received from your company last Thursday 4 August.

The refund went through the process of approval and loaded for payment, which was executed at 15:18 today 12 August. This was a one-week turnaround, which we do not deem unreasonable. We have advised you of the above processes and updated you on an ongoing basis during the process.

If you would like to meet with us to discuss the circumstances, we would be most happy to do so.
