Not ideal for correspondence learning

As I currently have a full-time job, I was very skeptical to initiate part time learning as I would need to be plan my time better to fit in both my work and studies into an already full day. The first semester this year at IMM was enjoyable and easy to plan and allocate time for learning tasked. I was able to do relatively well and was excited for the next semester. In the second semester, however, the user interface was “updated” which made finding appropriate dates more difficult and confusing. Study Material was divided into Student Pacer and Study Guide. The exact dates for the assignments and exams were not in either of these forms of communication. There is a calendar to supposedly keep track of dates however the calendar is incomplete and confusing as it does not contain exam dates and includes upload dates for assignments that I did not even sign up for, just increasing confusion.

Because of this, the entire “eLearn” learner interface is ambiguous and confusing which I have seen other students complain about on HelloPeter as well. A student portal of a correspondence learning institute should be simple to use and clear, which unfortunately the eLearn portal from IMM is not. This makes part time learning that much more complicated.

This was compounded by the fact that even after proving this point to both the IMM service team and the IMM National Registrar, they were still not willing to accommodate their students in finding a method to prove their knowledge on the student material in the second semester of 2019.

Very disappointed in transparency and service from IMM.
