IMM a waste of your money and no real learning
I am currently doing a bcom through IMM as a distance learner. We do not get back our marked exams papers to see what we have understood or not. This is quite shocking as how is a learner meant to more forward confidently, especially as a distance learner with limited support. You have to pay R450 to just get your paper back. I do 4 subjects a semester and have to pay (4X450 ) .
I wish I knew before I started what a let down IMM would be. All they care about is taking your money.
Quite disappointing.

The IMM Graduate School has a formal appeals process, which is outlined in the Yearbook. All IMM Graduate School fees are available in the prospectus and on our website and are clearly stated for every application type. All policies, procedures and processes are accepted at the start of each semester by each and every student prior to the completion of a registration.
The IMM Graduate School enforces a very strict and stringent marking process, with checks after each stage. Examination/Final assessment scripts are marked, moderated and go through a verification process to ensure that all processes have been followed.
Students must follow the formal appeals process, outlined in the Yearbook, to appeal their final assessment results or to request a feedback report. The result appeal policy clearly stipulates that only once one of these formal applications have been followed, may a student request to view their marked script. Please note that the marked script and final assessment question papers, remain the property of the IMM Graduate School.
With all administrative processes, there are costs incurred, and this is the reason for the minimal fee required to arrange a script viewing. This is common practice across private institutions and universities. Please note that the fee as stated in your statement is incorrect, and script viewing application fees may be viewed in the fee structure available in the 2020 Prospectus.
This fee is applicable, especially as the examination format has been updated to an online platform, and the scripts need to be formatted for students to view the scripts. Also, once a student has requested one of the above mentioned formal appeal applications, the purpose of a script view would only be to confirm that all questions had been marked and marks accounted for, as there is no feedback supp**** on a final assessment script, but this would have been supp**** by the result appeal application or the final assessment feedback report. This is the reason for the formal appeals process prior to a script viewing.
