Annoyed !!!!
I am very disappointed with IMM at the moment. Communication and correct information is key in any business.over 8 weeks ago i contacted the finance department to confirm whether the process for refunds was still the same as i had been informed previously. This was confirmed. I requested all the documentation from my funder and the form was filled out as per specification and submitted a week later. i waited for the 30 days to pass, no refund. I've called IMM in JHB, emailed Alpesh, previously emailed Ra-ina, no response. Today i decided to go into the support office and was told that the refund would not be paid to me despite an official letter from my funder stating that is what is to be done. What upsets me is the lack of communication and that i did exactly what i was told to do by IMM in regards to the accompanying documents only to be told, no, sorry, we will do what we want. Can someone PLEASE communicate effectively and in alignment with what you state on your documents and refund policies!!!!!!!!
Many thanks for your email.
Refunds should normally not take longer than 30 days to process, thus I need to investigate and respond with all the facts.
I will immediately look into this and provide a response within 48 hours.

I have investigated the matter and can report as follows:-
1. The refund application as sent by yourself was unfortunately not forwarded to the finance department. We have now taken the necessary steps in this regard as this is a breach of our internal processes. Please accept my unreserved apology for this error.
2. We, therefore, expedited your refund application in order to resolve your query. The below has transpired as part of the processing of the refund application:
a. The documentation as received contained a letter from the sponsor indicating that the fees are to be refunded directly to you.
b. On receipt of such letters, our audit process requires us to confirm this with the sponsor. The sponsor has indicated to us that the letter was issued in error and that the fees may only be refunded directly to the sponsor. This is in line with the information which was provided when you visited the Cape Town office and spoke to our Head of Student Finance. We are thus not able to refund any funds to yourself.
You will be contacted privately and provided with the details regarding the conversation with your sponsor.
Please again accept my apology for the delay in resolving this matter.
Kind regards
